This is my Gemshorn for my Viking outfit. I've made it myself, the project was a gift of

, my girlfriend & partner in-crime when it comes to Fantasy Fairs.

A Gemshorn is a medieval instrument. The sound is somewhere between an Ocarina and a flute. You can only play a gemshorn for a short time, because the moisture from your lungs affects the shape and thus the tone of the horn.

The Instrument makers from [link] reallly helped me out on this one. Without their help, this project would not have ended so well- probably not at all. Making a gemshorn is a lot of work and there are a lot of tricks involved. If you want one, I suggest you buy one from these guys- it might look expensive, but I understand now!
